Tension and Trauma Release
Through TRE & Neurogenic Yoga
Hi, I’m Katy!
Neurogenic Yoga & TRE Provider
I am dedicated to empowering you to reconnect with your truest self through the wisdom of your body.
I believe the body is the gateway to the soul, and that deep healing unfolds when we honor and work alongside the body’s innate intelligence.
My intention is to guide you in listening to your body’s wisdom so you can release tension, trauma, and anything that holds you back from living a free and full life.
Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®)
TRE is an innovative practice that helps the body release deep patterns of stress, tension, and trauma.
Through a series of simple exercises, TRE activates the body’s natural shaking or vibrating reflex (also called “neurogenic tremors”), which eases muscle tension and calms the nervous system, allowing the body to return to a state of balance. These reflexive muscle vibrations are often described as soothing and pleasant, and leave many people with a deep sense of peace and well-being.
Designed as a lifelong self-help tool, TRE can be practiced independently, once learned, to support ongoing health and wellness.
While TRE uses specific exercises to gently fatigue and stretch muscles to help trigger this natural release, Neurogenic Yoga uses gentle yoga postures, breathwork, and meditation (learn more below).

Neurogenic Yoga™
Neurogenic Yoga is a somatic practice that supports trauma healing and stress reduction. A sister practice to TRE, Neurogenic Yoga integrates yoga postures, breathwork, and the body’s natural shaking response (also called “neurogenic tremors”) to help release stored tension and restore balance to the nervous system.
Prolonged stress can lock the body in protective patterns, leaving muscles tense and the nervous system dysregulated. Neurogenic Yoga gently reactivates the body’s natural release mechanism, helping to unwind tension patterns and build resilience.
This practice offers a profound opportunity for nervous system healing and self-discovery. Whether you're navigating chronic stress, recovering from acute trauma, or simply seeking a deeper connection to your body’s wisdom, Neurogenic Yoga empowers you to access your natural capacity for healing and restoration.

Who can benefit from TRE and Neurogenic Yoga?
If you’ve ever felt your knees shake before speaking in public, trembled after a stressful event like a car accident, or quivered with intense emotions like anger or fear, you’ve already experienced your body’s natural vibration response. This innate mechanism releases tension and regulates the nervous system–something everyone can benefit from through TRE and Neurogenic Yoga.
By safely activating neurogenic tremors, the body naturally unwinds deep stress, eases muscle tension, and supports a balanced nervous system. This process helps resolve tension patterns caused by everything from daily worries to trauma-related responses.
Whether you’re a parent or partner looking to cultivate more patience, a trauma survivor seeking relief, a veteran coping with PTSD, or simply someone who wants to build resilience and overall well-being, Neurogenic Yoga offers a powerful tool for self-healing and nervous system balance.
